sigh…

This picture of my three children it my absolute favorite from 2012.  We had just returned from a long vacation in Florida and my camera was on the fritz so we headed over to a local camera store to get some help. After getting it “fixed” in literally less that a minute – yes it was user error sad to say – I wanted to test it out at a favorite wall of mine only to find it completely panted over in white.  Oh well. The kids played on the wall and ran around.  Finally right before it was time to get in the car they came together naturally for this picture.  This is how they always end up – my daughter holding her baby brother and my son holding on to his baby brother.  My heart melts ;o)

a borrowed mask

We were at a friends house over the weekend and my daughter fell in love with a beautiful mardi gra mask.  She wanted me to photograph her wearing it.  One picture she said.  I bargained for one picture with the regular camera and one with the Polaroid.   Too bad she can hear the click of the camera. She said, “you got one now I’m done.” The Polaroid didn’t work this time so I’ll have to do some bribing to try for another ;o)

red wagon

so I of course had to take some pictures of my little one in the wagon with my digital camera after gaining his curiosity with the Polaroid camera. How do you get a baby to stay put, relax and smile at you? Oh and not try to take off their hat right after you put it on and chuck it?   – just put them in a red wagon and point a Polaroid camera at them. After that they are all yours… for just about 30 seconds!!

clovers

White clovers remind me of childhood and my mom making clover halos.  My daughter laid in this clover patch just long enough for me to snap a quite picture of her before she jumped into her silly mode.

a dream

I had a dream about a farris wheel.  Around and around it goes.  Maybe it was this one from the Strawberry Festival a few years ago.  My daughter wanted to go on it but she was too small.  Instead we got an ice cream cone with sparkles on it.  I did not dream about that though.  Maybe next time ;o)
