Hello

Photography is something that has always been close to my heart.  I fell in love photography after I took photography class my freshman year in high school.  I thought my teacher was amazing and awe inspiring! I had dreams of becoming a fashion photographer and shooting for GUESS ads!  But… my dreams took a different route after I entered college. I ended up pursuing the field of marketing and website design. Photography was always a hobby if mine though. I’ve always had a passion for capturing life’s moments around me.

I grew up in Norfolk, VA and graduated from Maury High School. From there I went on to ODU where I met my husband, Jeff. After finishing school we moved to the DC area for about seven years.  We desired to move back to the Tidewater area when I was pregnant with my first baby.  So we found a cute house in Virginia Beach and several years later here we are.  I just could not stray too far for too long – I love living here! 

So now that I have two super cute kiddos I’ve had lots of practice capturing their world.  It was not until after the birth of my second child that I had a desire to capture “that something else” besides just documenting their life.  I desperately wanted to hold on to their amazement, their wonderment, their individual personalities and their relationship between each other with each picture I took. I’m all about capturing them for who they really are – when they’ll let me!

I’ve always loved children. I’ve been called a baby magnet. If I’m not holding one of my own, I’m holding someone else’s! Kids seam to like me and I truly like them. I’m really interested in what they have to say and want to do. I can’t wait to meet yours!
